HIROSHIMA DAY 2020

This is the 35th year the City of Cockburn commemorated this event with representatives from the Perth Japanese Consulate, Federal Member for Fremantle Mr Josh Wilson and His Worship the Mayor Logan K Howlett JP. This Hiroshima Day was the 75th year since the dropping of A-bombs on the Cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

On Thursday 6 August 2020 our Year 6 student councillors participated in the Tree Planting Ceremony held at    Anning Park, Semple Crt Jandakot. The student councillors planted two trees, working well as a team.

This was followed by a morning tea with activities in the City of Cockburn’s Council administration building in Spearwood.  All students enjoyed eating the cupcakes, listening to a traditional story and making paper cranes
